Jai Ho!

Slumdog Millionaire just received a nomination for Best Picture for the 81st Annual Academy Awards. No surprise there. It also got nominated for 10 others.

Amongst the nominations, were two for Best Music (Song): "Jai Ho" and "O Saya." I personally think that "O Saya" should take it home, because it's the genius collaboration between A.R. Rahman and Maya Arulpragasam, A.K.A., M.I.A. But I have a feeling "Jai Ho" may come out on top, just for the cool dance factor alone.

After watching/listening to the two videos below, there's no need to explain why these songs were acknowledged.

And if you didn't tap your toes, snap your fingers, or move some other part of your body in some fashion, while watching/hearing...then you, my friend, are dead. And that's your problem.

***Update (6:30p.m. EST) Apparently, all the videos showing scenes from the movie were removed from You Tube, due to a copyright claim from Twentieth Century Fox. Geesh. So know we just have to settle with just the soundtrack.***
